Texas-San Antonio at Rice

The Rice Owls have run off five straight wins after starting the season at 0-3, which included two expected losses vs. Texas A&M and Notre Dame, as well as an unexpected loss in their home opener against Old Dominion. The Owls not only have won five straight, they have covered all five as well. They will host Texas San Antonio who has only found the win column twice so far this season. The Road Runners are off their worst game of the season in losing to UTEP 34-0. They were competitive against an up-and-coming LA Tech team in their previous game, losing by 7, and beat FIU in their game prior to that. This is a tough spot for Rice as their next game is against unbeaten Marshall, and it will be very easy to look past a team that was drubbed last week, but not nearly as bad as the score of that game indicated.
