NEW MEXICO BOWL - The Lobos will be seeking their ninth win, something that has occurred just one time since 1982. The Lobos offense begins and ends with the running game, and they average a nation's best 361 rushing yards per game, and an equally best 6.8 yards per carry. Those are some big numbers, and the Lobos have eclipsed the 40-point mark five times on the season. Unfortunately for them, they yield numbers negating most of that offensive value, allowing opponents to reach 40+ in four games this season. Texas San Antonio needed a win in their final game to finish 6-6, and will be playing in their first ever Bowl, so you know this team is going to be excited to be in this one. But as a result, one has to question the Lobo's motivation for the same Bowl in consecutive years vs. an obscure team. Teams that come into a Bowl game at 6-6 as a dog of three points or more in a December Bowl are 27-13 ATS.
