The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will square off vs. the BYU Cougars in the Armed Forces Bowl. BYU is playing as an independent this season, finishing the year at 9-3. The season started slowly for the Cougars at 1-2, but it was after a humiliating loss to Utah (54-10) that this team got the wake-up call and finished out the year at 8-1. There were dramatic improvements made to an offense that sputtered along for just 13.3 points per game in the first three to average 36.3 ppg in their last nine. The defense came together as well allowing 28 ppg over the first three to 17.8 ppg in the last nine. Tulsa was hot to close as well finishing off the year at 7-1, but that last one stung as they fell to Houston 48-16. The defense proved to be vulnerable vs. good offensive teams, and at 36.3 ppg over their last nine BYU has become one. Tulsa has allowed over 40 to the four best offenses they saw this season. BYU has played the best against the best part of their schedule and are 6-0 ATS vs. a winning team in their last six. Play on BYU here.
