Tulane lost its opener 23-17 to Wake Forest and it went UNDER by 15.5 points even though it went into overtime. The Green Wave then beat FCS Nicholls State 42-17. UAB comes off a loss against Coastal Carolina 47-24 and it snapped a string of five straight UNDERs for the Blazers starting in 2017. In fact, the Blazers have gone UNDER in nine of their last 11 games and their last five after allowing at least 200 rushing yards their previous game. Tulane has talent and experience at linebacker with Zachery Harris, who recorded 69 tackles in 2017 and in the secondary, which is led by safeties Chase Kuerschen and Roderic Teamer Jr. That's bad news for UAB quarterback A.J. Erdely, who was only 12-of-26 for 149 yards with no touchdowns and an interception against Coastal Carolina. The Blazers did carry the ball 41 times while making it into the end zone only three times and they rely on Spencer Brown, who rushed for 1,329 yards in 2017 and 196 yards so far this season. A lot of time-consuming running plays and a superior Tulane defense makes this an UNDER play.
