Toledo at Northern Illinois

The Huskies have a top level-offense that is about as balanced as it gets. They run for over 250 yards per game and pass for over 200 yards per game. QB Jordan Lynch accounts for most of those yards, as he has passed for close to 2,200 yards on the season with 19 TDs and just three INTs on the season. He is also the Huskies’ leading rusher with an amazing 1,342 yards at 7.3 yards per carry, ranking No. 6 in the FBS. His 16 rushing TDs and 19 through the air make him accountable for 35 total TDs on the season. If that were not good enough, the Huskies have held their six opponents at home to 75 total points or just 12.5 points per game. That includes a pair of BCS Conference teams. Toledo has a pretty good QB of their own in Terrence Owens, who has thrown for over 2,400 yards with 14 TDs and five INTs. RB David Fluellen has rushed for 1,377 yards and 13 TDs. While the offensive numbers are pretty similar, the defensive side of the ball paints a much different story. Northern Illinois has been tough defensively and ranks No. 45 in the country, including No. 15 in fewest points allowed. The Rockets rank No. 106 and are going to have their hands full against a Northern Illinois team that has scored 60 points or more in each of the past two meetings. The Huskies are 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 including 6-0 ATS in conference play. The Rockets are off of a bye and may appear to have an advantage, but they are 0-6 ATS in their last six following a bye.
