Toledo at Ball State

These teams are even in many ways. Both come in at 5-5 and the series is about even, with Toledo up 16-15. The Rockets have been the hotter team of late, but it certainly has nothing to do with their defense. It is the offense that has really been clicking, producing 55 ppg over the last three. And, over those three games, their maligned defense has looked decent. They have turned their season around after an 0-3 start, having won three straight and five of their last seven. Ball State has dropped two straight and three of five. Teams with terrible defenses (allowing 35+) after a big win by 21+ points are 34-7 ATS over the past decade including a perfect 6-0 this season! Under head coach Tom Amstutz, Toledo has covered 20 of their last 26 games coming off a 42+ point performance including 8-1 ATS after scoring 50+. Both these teams are capable of moving the ball on each other, and are pretty even overall, with the exception that they appear to be heading in opposite directions. So we'll grab the points in this one. This line is +7 already at some books (Bodog, 5Dimes). Should be +7 at most books by kickoff. If not, buy the 1/2 point.

2 units on Toledo +7 (-110) (risk 2 to return 2)
