Texas State at South Alabama

Dennis Franchione has done a good job at Texas State as he has his Bobcats at 5-4 on the season, and on the verge a Bowl bid. His team has shown steady improvement and have covered each of the last three, and almost took out conference leader Georgia Southern before falling at home 28-25. That should be a character builder for this team, knowing that they can play with anyone in the conference. South Alabama comes into this game looking like their equal also at 5-4, but not all 5-4 teams are created equally. The Jags have posted five wins against teams with a combined record of 9-38 on the season. Despite the weak schedule they have been out-scored on the season and simply have no right being favored in this game. The Bobcats have gotten after it on the road where they are 4-0 ATS in their last four, so the points should be a bonus in this one. Make the play on Texas State.
