Texas State at Baylor

This is the second road game of the season for Texas State and the first one was a disaster, losing 38-14 at Nevada as a favorite. Texas State was 4-8 last season, losing just 29-20 to Baylor in the opener. However, they allowed 238 yards rushing while the offense had just 235 total yards and turned it over three times to the Bears. That was at home, too, and this team lost at Eastern Michigan in 2021, 59-21, and at Louisiana, 45-0. Texas State QB Layne Hatcher threw 10 interceptions in 2019, 13 in 2021, and has three already in two games this season. The offense has six turnovers. Baylor is off a 12-2 campaign with high hopes so they won't be in a good mood after their first loss, a 26-20 defeat in two overtimes at No. 21 BYU. QB Blake Shapen (3 TDs, 0 INTs) has been very good and Baylor is 11-3 ATS on turf, plus 44-24 ATS after allowing 100 or fewer rushing yards in the last game. Play Baylor.
