Arkansas has not been great in Bowl games, going 13-23-3 straight up. Rebuilding Arkansas made it to a Bowl, but is just 6-6 overall and 2-6 in SEC play. The Razorbacks are 1-5 ATS in their last six neutral site games. Texas had all kinds of September problems, injuries and suspensions for new coach Charlie Strong, but he really got them to play better down the stretch. The Longhorns' stellar defense is led by linebacker Jordan Hicks (team-high 138 tackles) and tackle Malcom Brown, who leads the team in tackles for loss (14) and sacks (6.5). Cedric Reed finished the season with four sacks in the team’s last three games and started all 12 games for a Texas defense that allowed 23.4 points per game in Big 12 play. Texas was first in the Big 12 in total defense at 348.3, which ranks 26th in the nation. Meanwhile, the Razorbacks will be without cornerback Carroll Washington and safety Rohan Gaines, who have been suspended. The short-handed secondary will struggle against speedy Texas wide receiver John Harris, who finished 20th in the nation with 1,015 yards and caught seven TDs. The Longhorns got routed their last game, but the team is 14-2 ATS following a double-digit loss at home. Play Texas.
