Texas at Iowa State

Surprisingly, the Iowa State Cyclones come into this game with a better record than the Texas Longhorns. That doesn't happen very often, and it speaks of the trouble the Longhorns have had over the past several years. Texas went nine straight seasons with double-digit wins, but have not had one in the last seven seasons. They lost the opener to Maryland in a shootout, but have since played some very strong defense. They held USC to 27, and shut out San Jose State. Iowa State will present a challenge as the Cyclones have gone for 40+ points in all three games. The problem is that over the last 10 years, teams that have started the season that way have gone UNDER the total 62% of the time the next week.
