BELK BOWL - Texas A&M fired Kevin Sumlin and assistant coach Jeff Banks will coach against Wake Forest, which has lost five of its last eight games, including 31-23 to Duke in the regular season finale. The Demon Deacons were outgained 443-336 and they are #108 in yards allowed (444.2 yards per game) and #63 in points allowed (26.3 per game). The Deacons have been weak offensively the last several seasons and now they finally can put lots of points on the board to the tune of 33.7 per game and it's being somewhat wasted by an overrated defense, especially against the run. Wake Forest has gone OVER four of its last five games after a loss and four of its last five non-conference games. The Aggies are 5-0 OVER following an ATS loss and 4-1 OVER their last five non-conference contests dating to last season. Nick Starkel has completed 57.0 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. Kellen Mond actually is A&M's leading passer this season with 1,375 passing yards and eight touchdowns. Christian Kirk has 58 catches for 730 yards and seven touchdowns. John Wolford has thrown for 2,792 yards with 25 touchdowns for Wake Forest. The Aggies have more talent overall and the SEC pedigree and the Deacons have allowed an average of 36 points their last six games. Take Texas A&M on the moneyline and also play the OVER.
