Texas A&M had a disappointing season, one they thought they could challenge for the Big-12 Title, but fell very short of that goal at 6-6. They face a 6-6 Northwestern team in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Northwestern has not won a Bowl game since 1948 and will sure be fired up for this one. The Wildcats seniors have the honor of being the only class in Northwestern football history to go to a Bowl each of their four years. Northwestern has a poor track record, but have seriously been knocking on the door as this group of seniors is 0-3 straight-up in their three previous Bowl games, but 3-0 ATS. They have taken two of the last three to overtime only to fall short, but this year they have the talent and desire to perhaps change that. Texas A&M looks good on the stat sheet, but has fallen well below the level of talent here. The defense gave up way to many easy scores and Ryan Tanneyhill prematurely ended too many drives with 14 INTs. The Aggies made it to 40+ on five occasions, but the defense allowed 40+ on four. They managed to cover just three games on the season, so they look good but are not playing the way they look. With little motivation here, it will be very difficult for them to cover double digits vs. a highly-motivated, competent team. The Aggies are now 0-9 ATS in their last nine at a neutral site and 38-15-2 to the OVER following an ATS loss. Northwestern is 16-5 ATS following a double-digit home loss and a perfect 7-0 ATS off a loss. Play on Northwestern and the OVER.
