Many will view this game as a huge letdown spot for the Tide after their heavyweight battle vs. LSU last week, where they pulled out the win in the waning moments to remain #1 and unbeaten. I'm not in that camp. This team is just too good and too well coached. Their talent level is too high and they know after last week that they can't afford a lackluster performance here. After playing LSU last season, the Tide followed it up with a 24-7 win, and after playing Florida they won 34-0. There is no letdown when you're playing for a National Championship. The Tide defense at home in FBS games has been above all. Since the beginning of last season, they have played ten here against FBS teams and have allowed a grand total of 64 points, or 6.4 points per game. That means on average teams do not get into the end-zone in this building. Texas A&M is good, but they are no different than past teams that have come here and found how difficult it is to score vs. this defense. Although the Aggies have a talented QB, he is still a freshman that will be playing on the road in front of 100,000+ against by far the best defense he has seen in his life. Lay the points with Bama - a team I believe that will be looking to come out and make a bold statement after last week's scare.
