Tennessee at South Carolina

The last six meetings have each been decided by less than a touchdown, and Tennessee is 7-2 ATS its last nine meetings at South Carolina. The Gamecocks have lost three of their last five, including their 26-23 defeat at the hands of Texas A&M two weeks ago. South Carolina improved to 9-4 in 2017, but has regressed this season in Will Muschamp's third year as coach. Jake Bentley was 17-of-35 for 223 yards with three touchdowns and an interception against the Aggies, but the Gamecocks gained only 76 yards on the ground in 18 carries and were outgained 458-299 in yards of offense. Bentley has thrown seven interceptions, and six have come in the Gamecocks' three losses. Tennessee got bulldozed by Alabama, 58-21, but the Volunteers did win at Auburn 30-24 the previous week as a 14.5-point underdog. The Volunteers have covered five of their last seven following a loss, and they are 8-2 ATS the last 10 meetings at South Carolina. Also, the road team is 15-5-1 ATS the last 21 meetings and the Gamecocks are just 4-10-1 ATS their last 15 versus teams with losing records. Go with Tennessee in this one.
