Tennessee at Auburn

The teams last met in 2013 when Butch Jones and Gus Malzahn both were in their first years with their respective schools and now it's Jeremy Pruitt trying to turn things around in his first season with the Volunteers. Tennessee managed to cover the big number in its 38-12 loss at Georgia and now it will try to keep things relatively close against Auburn, which looked bad in a 23-9 loss at Mississippi State and also has another loss against LSU earlier in the season. The Tigers were outyarded 418-304 against MSU and quarterback Jarrett Stidham was only 19-of-38 for 214 yards with no touchdowns.  The run defense was the big culprit for the Tigers as the Bulldogs racked up 349 yards on the ground on 6.1 yards per carry. That will give the Volunteers a fighting chance as they average 178.2 rushing yards and QB Jarrett Guarantano was adequate finishing 13-of-21 for 143 yards and two TDs and no picks against Georgia. Auburn is 1-4 ATS its last five games and 2-5 ATS its last seven home games going back to last season. Auburn has just a slight edge on defense allowing 323.5 yards per game compared to 340.6 for the Volunteers. Grab the big points with Tennessee.
