Tennessee at Alabama

The Tennessee program has fallen on hard times as the Volunteers, who not to long ago won 10 or more games in eight of 13 seasons, but the last one came in 2007. They opened the season with a tough-to-swallow loss at home to Georgia State. They played inspired football last week at home for their second win. Alabama is an elite offensive team but the defense has been somewhat down. Over the last 11 seasons, Alabama has not given up 23 points or more in more than four games, but already three teams have done so. The Tide is likely to get a big lead here and Tennessee should be able to score enough, especially late in the game to cover a crazy spread. The Tide is just 13-22 ATS in the Saban era as a favorite of -32.5 or more. Back Tennessee.
