Temple at Arizona State

ASU's big bowl game win against Purdue should carry overinto a special start this season. Quarterback Sam Keller, who was a prized recruit our of high school, played big time football in that game and has the people talking in the desert. Also back is Derek Hagan, who could easily be the best receiver in the land. This is a team looking forward to playing football after a tough offseason that saw the murder of a former player, by a current one. In all, this ASU team returns 14 starters, while the Owls must deal with the loss of their top two players. Temple historically starts slow as they are just 12-15 ATS during month one of the season since 1992. Throw in the fact that they have to travel to play a top team, in what will probably be 105 degree weather at kickoff, and this has the making for an ugly contest. One star on the Sparky's here.
