Word has it that Charlie Strong will be fired after the season. This comes in the wake of one of the worst losses in Texas program history, as the Horns took it on the chin at Kansas last week 24-21. It wasn't as bad as it looked, as Texas made six turnovers, yet still out-gained the Jayhawks by 75 yards. The team was going to boycott the game with TCU, learning that Strong would be fired, but were talked out of it. One thing is for sure - they are still behind their coach. It's hard to believe that neither of these teams are not yet Bowl eligible. At 5-6, I think last week's game against KU has the line off, and the Texas players appear ready to rally around their potentially lame duck coach. TCU has dropped three out of four, and have really not met or played up to expectations this year. TCU at 5-5 has two remaining chances to become Bowl eligible , but I think the Texas kids are ready to make a statement, so take Texas in this one.
