This one is a showdown of unbeatens! This is a high total with all the offensive stars involved, but don't overlook the talent on defense. TCU Coach Gary Patterson has always had strong defenses and this edition is very good -- you don't make it unbeaten into November with a bad D. TCU utilizes a 4-2-5 scheme and has great personnel for it. This defense has allowed 21 or fewer in five games. After so many injuries to key players and using 16 first-time starters, the Horned Frogs have allowed only one touchdown in the past seven quarters. Starting seniors Davion Pierson and Mike Tuaua have been back on the right side of the defensive line the past four games after both missed three games. Their last four opponents have scored a combined 17 points after halftime. The Frogs are coming off a 40-10 win over West Virginia, which was held to 327 total yards after an FBS-best streak of 27 consecutive games with at least 350. The Mountaineers have been held to fewer points in a Big-12 game only once in their four seasons in the league. Oklahoma State dazzled the oddsmakers by putting up 58 and 70 the last two games, but that was against Kansas and Texas Tech, two teams that haven't played defense since the Bush administration....the first one! The UNDER is 12-5 after the Cowboys allow more than 40 points in their previous game and the UNDER is 8-3-1 after scoring more than 40 points in their last game. TCU won 42-9 last year in a dominant defensive effort in a game that sailed UNDER the total and this rematch will too. Play TCU/Oklahoma State UNDER the total.
