Stanford vs. Washington State

It is always worth a few extra points in the total when a Mike Leach coached team, with his air raid offense, takes the field. His offense has not reached the levels yet that they did at Texas Tech, but the biggest eye-opener is his defense that currently ranks #10 in the country. Stanford opened a 29-0 lead over Arizona State last week then seemed to lay down, as the Sun Devils scored at will, and ended with 28 points. That just created a false illusion to the ability of this Stanford defense. Stanford allowed 33 total points to their first two opponents, and I think at this stage of the season both of these teams appear better on the defensive side of the ball, as the Cougars have allowed just 12 points per game. Stanford has played 9-3 to the UNDER after scoring 40+ in their previous game, and the UNDER is 8-2-1 in the last 11 games in this series, including 5-0-1 when the game was at Washington State. Play this one UNDER the total.
