Stanford at Notre Dame

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have tried for years to get back to their glory days, and might finally have the team on both sides of the ball to get there. Ranked 7th in the country and undefeated, they face what many think to be a test from another ranked team on Saturday. I disagree. The Irish should run away with this one. They have impressively held their last three opponents out of the end zone, and not just any opponents. They did it to Miami, Michigan and Michigan State. They have a pair of serviceable QBs with Everett Golson and Tommy Rees. The Irish also possess a stable of quality backs that propel the offense. Andrew Luck is gone and so is most of the Stanford offense. While the defense remains tough, they were torched by Arizona State for 617 yards in their last game, so they are far from infallible. Head coach Brian Kelly is 14-4 ATS vs. great teams (teams over .750). The Irish lost to the Cardinal in each of the last three seasons and with Luck gone, this is payback time for the Irish. Take Notre Dame to win big.
