Oregon was seen as getting a pass to the Pac-12 Championship game. But they hit a bump in the road, derailing any hopes of that as they were beaten for the second straight year by 10-2 Stanford. The Ducks then lost to Arizona, scoring just 16 points in the process. The Rose Bowl now comes down to Stanford vs. Arizona State. The Sun Devils have been locked-in for the last seven weeks, running the table. They also have redemption in mind for a loss to Stanford early in the season. I think they can get it as this team has grown a lot since then. There is no question about the quality of the offense, but the defense that was suspect early on have now tightened things up. ASU allowed 30+ points in four straight games, but since have allowed 30+ just one time in their last seven at a respectable 21.1 points per game allowed. The Cardinal offense has scored 27 or less in six of their last seven, and I think that these teams are in different places than they were at the time of their first meeting. The Sun Devils are 7-0 at home on the season, and just one team has come within 13 of them here. They are perfect at home, scoring 49.1 points per game here, winning by over 18 points per game. This team is also 14-5 ATS as a favorite over the past two seasons. Take Arizona State in this one.
