South Florida at Alabama

South Florida comes off a 7-6 campaign, including giving Alabama a tough time in a 17-3 Crimson Tide victory. It will be difficult to duplicate that effort, however. The Bulls were last in the conference in passing yards per game allowed (288.8) and passing touchdowns allowed (29) in 2023. Alabama has a new coach in Kalen DeBoer, who wants to impress the fans that he was the right choice to replace legendary Nick Saban. He comes over from Washington where he led one of most productive offenses over the last two seasons. They poured it on Western Kentucky last week, a 63-0 blowout, with the edge in yards 600-to-145, including a 334-to-42 edge in rushing yards. Play Alabama.
