South Carolina at Missouri

Barry Odom took over at Missouri last season, and immediately a dead offense added 18 points per game. It is pretty certain that the Tigers offense is going to move forward again with 10 starters returning on that side of the ball, and at the very least this will be an exciting team to watch. South Carolina is rising again in the SEC, but the offense was horrific last year, and that could make things tough in trying to keep pace with a team that is going to find the end-zone frequently. Missouri put up 73 points in Week 1, and ran their home winning streak to three games. South Carolina has really struggled on the road of late at just 2-12 in their last 14, and both of those wins were by exactly three points so they are less than a touchdown away from being 0-14 on the road. I think Missouri at home is the difference maker, and Missouri seems to be poised to get the points they need to win at home. Make the play on Missouri. Also take the OVER. South Carolina defeated N.C. State 35-28, but was outgained 504-246 as Ryan Finley completed 45-of-64 passes for 415 yards and two touchdowns for the Wolfpack. The Gamecocks return 10 starters on offense, but only six on defense and they gave up a total of 102 points their final two games of 2016. Missouri pounded Missouri State 72-43 as Drew Lock exploded for 521 passing yards and seven touchdowns on only 21-of-34 attempts. Damarea Crockett rushed for 202 yards on only 18 carries and scored two touchdowns. The Tigers return 10 starters on offense, including the entire offensive line and figure to have their best team since 2014.  Missouri put up 61 points against Eastern Michigan and 79 against Delaware State last season. South Carolina has gone OVER its last four games dating to last season and Memphis has gone OVER its last four September contests. Lock should have another big day if the Gamecocks' pass defense is as ineffective as it was last Saturday. Take both Missouri and the OVER.
