SMU has also lost their coach and a season of great promise that opened 5-1 turned sour with a 2-4 finish. The problem was when they faced Conference USA's best teams in Tulsa, Southern Miss. and Houston they were beaten 102-17. That's right... 102-17. They were never in any of the games and were outgained 1417-858 in the three games. And, this team lost each of their last six ATS as well. They are now 11-23 ATS as a dog of +3.5 to +10 in their last 34. SMU can thow the ball but that's a good matchup for Pitt who is a perfect 6-0 ATS this season vs. teams that complete 58%+ of their passes.
