SMU had a wild and crazy contest with Houston winning 77-63 and that inflated the posted total for the Mustangs against South Florida, but normalcy returned and SMU won 41-23 and it went UNDER by 8.5 points. This game's total isn't quite as high, but SMU made a big improvement defensively holding the Bulls to six second-half points and 381 total yards for the game. The Mustangs actually are 6-4 UNDER this year and Tulane is the same. The Green Wave lost their second game of the season 38-31 to Central Florida, which carried the ball 53 times for 343 yards. However, Tulane still is #20 in the country in scoring defense allowing 19.0 points per game and SMU is only #59 in rushing yards per game. SMU has gone UNDER six of its past seven road games and the Mustangs are 8-2 UNDER after scoring at least 40 points their previous game.
