Don't be fooled by SMU's 2-0 start against Stephen F. Austin and North Texas. This program went 8-28 the previous three years and finally steps up to play a good team -- a real good team as TCU is #20 in the nation. SMU comes off a 54-32 win over North Texas but the defense allowed 424 yards passing. Last year SMU lost 75-31 to Navy, 51-7 to Memphis and 33-3 to this TCU squad. The Mustangs are 8-20-1 ATS against the Big 12. TCU comes off an impressive victory at Arkansas of the SEC, 28-7. The defense has allowed seven total points in two contests. The Horned Frogs held Arkansas to 267 yards of total offense, a week after allowing only 65 yards in a 63-0 victory over Jackson State. The offense controlled the time of possession with 195 yards rushing as a team against Arkansas, led by 106 on the ground from sophomore Darius Anderson. Only three Razorbacks wide receivers caught passes in the game as Arkansas QB Austin Allen was 9-of-23 for 138 yards passing. With SMU 13-26 ATS away in September games and TCU 35-19 ATS at home after two or more straight-up wins, so back the home team in a blowout and play TCU.
