SMU at Navy

Southern Methodist is in line for a Bowl bid with a winning record and this is a big revenge game, after losing 75-31 to Navy a year ago. They come off a close loss to Central Florida last week as a +14 point dog, with a winning record as an underdog this season. SMU is a dog again but one of the best offensive teams in the nation, ranked #10 in yards with 505 per game, #12 in points (39.6), with great balance on offense. Sophomore QB Ben Hicks (20 TDs, 6 INTs) leads the passing attack, while RBs Xavier Jones (700 yards, 5.7 yards per carry) and Braeden West (468 yards) lead a potent ground game. The Mustangs are on an 11-5 ATS run, 8-3 ATS after getting more than 450 total yards in their previous game. They face a struggling Navy defense that has lost three in a row, losing 34-26 to Temple last week as a TD favorite. The Midshipmen are 2-5-2 ATS against winning teams.
