It has been a long time coming for the San Jose State Spartans who have endured futility in recent years. But, the patience is paying dividends for them now. The Spartans have seven wins on the season, which amazingly is more wins than they have had vs. FBS opponents in the last three years combined. The team has come of age, enjoying their best season in a long time. The Spartans have it going on both sides of the ball, having gone for 30+ on offense six times this season while holding opponents to 24 or less in seven of their nine games. QB David Fales has thrown for 21 TD passes to just six INTs on the season. The Aggies are anguishing through another painful season that has seen them come up short in all eight of their games vs. FBS opponents to run their record to 1-14 in their last 15 against quality opponents. The Aggies' defense has allowed 40+ points in 10 of their last 16, while the offense has stalled out completely, scoring 12.3 points per game over their last six. San Jose State is 25-9 ATS in their last 34 vs. teams like NM State that allow 34+ points per game. Meanwhile, the Aggies are 5-15 ATS in their last 20 games vs. great teams (those outscoring opponents by 10+ ppg). Another blowout loss is in the works. Take San Jose State.
