There is no doubt that this is an improved San Jose State team. They served notice with a hard fought 20-17 loss at Stanford in their opener and have gone on to win each of their last three since. Navy was in a bit over their head vs. Notre Dame and Penn State, and may be a bit down from what we have seen in recent years. However, the unique option offense always seems to give them a decided advantage, especially for a team that doesn't see it very often. Navy is a difficult team for which to prepare. When this team is getting points, they are 83-54 ATS since 1990 - the best in college football. Bring them in off of a confidence-building win and that number jumps to 38-16 ATS since 1990. It's difficult enough to have to play against this option offense, but it is even more difficult to bring a team across the country to play them and lay points. Take Navy plus the points
