San Jose State at Boise State

The Boise State Broncos appeared to be heading to a big Bowl game, but stumbled last week at Wyoming 30-28 as a better than two TD favorite. This is a team that was 7-0 heading into that game, but had a lot of close calls. In their last three games, they have outscored opponents by a scant total of just four points, despite being a combined -49.5 point favorite in the three games. The Broncos are not playing well right now, and the loss to Wyoming was a bitter one as they fumbled with the score tied at 28-28. QB Rypien fumbled with about a minute to play, and the ball went out of his own end-zone for a safety, and the loss. It is tough at this stage of the season for a team to be focused after losing for the first time, but there is something else in play here. The Broncos used to be kings of the point spread, and impossible to play well against on the Smurf Turf, but that has changed dramatically. Boise State is now 2-17 ATS in their last 19 as a conference home favorite of 15 points or more. The points loom large in this one, so grab them and play the Spartans.
