Southern Miss at Jacksonville State

Jacksonville St. won nine games a year ago, but they had a soft schedule and won a lot of close games. This season has looked a lot different for the Gamecocks who enter at 0-3 and have been outscored 141-75. They are allowing 47 PPG, and this team is in for a struggle off of last seasons's success. Southern MissSouthern Miss is 1-1 and takes to the road for the first time this season. The Golden Eagles finished at 3-9 a year ago, and it isn't likely they will put any more than 3-4 games in the in column this season. This game is one of those where they have a good shot at winning. The Gamecocks defense is horrible and even Southern Miss should be able to move the ball well. This looks like a game that comes down to the wire, and too many points here in the spread on a team that has not been able to get stops all season. Make the play on Southern Miss.
