Rice at Texas

The Steve Sarkisian era got off to a bumpy start as the Longhorns were exposed by Arkansas. Texas may have discovered something in the loss, however. Sarkisian pulled starting QB Hudson Card late in the fourth and brought in Casey Thompson. Thompson led a pair of 4th quarter scoring drives, where he ran both in himself. He will give Texas a different dynamic. Rice has been a poor team for a long time, and they are looking at an 0-3 start. Through a pair of games, Rice has been out-scored 82-24. This would normally be considered a letdown game for Texas, but after getting their clocks cleaned last week vs Arkansas, they are going to be very hungry and Rice isn't in that league.
