Rice at Central Florida

It isn't often that one of the top stop units comes out of Conference USA, but such is the case with the Central Florida Knights. They rank No. 8 in NCAA Football, allowing less than 265 yards and just 13.8 points per game. They are 4-2 with the only losses coming at the hands of BCS Conference teams Kansas State and North Carolina State - both strong teams. The Knights held those strong offenses to an average of 22.5 ppg in the two meetings. When they have faced competition more on their level, they have been even more dynamic. The Knights are allowing less than 10 ppg in those four situations. Rice will have their hands full as their offense is average at best. They will be lucky to find the end-zone while the defense is poor at the same time. Central Florida is also averaging 35 ppg when they have not faced a BCS Conference team, so getting a 3 TD+ win is quite likely here. The Knights are now 13-4 ATS dating back to last season, including 9-1 vs. conference opponents. Central Florida pours it on against Rice.
