SUN BOWL - Pittsburgh started the season 2-3, including an embarrassing 51-6 loss to Penn State, but the Panthers rebounded to win five of their last eight games to earn a spot in the ACC championship game. Four of their losses were to Clemson, Miami and two undefeated teams in Notre Dame and Central Florida. Quarterback Kenny Pickett has completed 60.1 percent of his passes for 1,833 yards and 12 touchdowns. The Panthers are averaging 229.5 rushing yards per game, which is good for #18 in the nation and Qadree Ollison and Darrin Hall have combined for 2,211 yards and 20 TDs. Stanford will be without star running back Bryce Love, who is preparing for the NFL draft and the Cardinal has been plagued by injuries, especially on defense all season. Stanford allows 415.6 yards per game compared to 402.3 for Pittsburgh. K.J. Costello has thrown 29 touchdown passes with 11 interceptions for the Cardinal, but the Panthers' defense can zero in on him due to a lack of a running game. Pitt is 9-4 ATS its last 13 December games and 15-5 ATS its last 20 games after allowing at least 40 points its previous game dating to past seasons. Also, the Panthers have covered six of their last eight when following a loss. Pittsburgh is 6-2-1 UNDER its last nine non-conference games and 18-7-1 UNDER its last 26 games overall and it has stayed UNDER in four of its last five versus teams with winning records. Take Pittsburgh and the UNDER.
