The Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl features the ACC's Pittsburgh at 6-6, taking on the MAC Champion Bowling Green, who is coming off their upset win against Northern Illinois. Statistically, and on the surface, it looks like Bowling Green has had the better season, as they have out-gained the teams on their schedule making a Bowl appearance. Pitt has been out-gained by their schedule of nine Bowl teams. There is obviously a quality of schedule difference here. The Panthers, despite playing nine Bowl teams, have a legitimate defense, one that ranks #27 in FBS, and a pair of quality wins over Duke and Notre Dame. Bowling Green had a very strong finish, winning and covering their last five, but that just cost them their coach. Interim head coach Adam Scheier may have his hands full here, as he has no head coaching or coordinator experience on either side, as he was just the special teams coach. I think that will be a difference maker here against a Pitt team working to secure a winning record. Play on Pittsburgh.
