Pittsburgh will likely start Nick Patti at quarterback as Kedon Slovis has entered the transfer portal and Patti has some experience throwing for 558 yards on 51 of 87 with four touchdowns and an interception in his career. He'll have to step up in this game as star running back Izzy Abanikanda opted out. The good news for Pitt is that is has depth at that position with three capable running backs in Rodney Hammond Jr., C'Bo Flemister aqnd Vincent Davis. UCLA is hoping QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson and running back Zach Charbonnet don't opt-out, but as of now they are playing. The Bruins are just 7-19-1 ATS their past 27 non-conference games and 2-7 ATS overall against teams with winning records. The Panthers won their final four games, including a 42-16 dismantling of Miami Florida in the regular-season finale. UCLA lost 34-28 against Arizona, which was a 20-point underdog and then the Bruins lost to crosstown rival USC 48-45 before defeating California. The Panthers allow 23.4 points per game and the Bruins allowed an average of 36.5 points their past four games. Make it a Max Play on Pittsburgh.
