PEACH BOWL - This game is in Atlanta, and both teams will be missing a key offensive player. Michigan State's star RB Kenneth Walker III (1,636 yards, 6.2 yards per carry, 18 TDs) will skip the game to focus on the NFL Draft. It's a big loss to this offense while putting more on sophomore QB Payton Thorne. Thorne threw for just 196 yards with no TDs and two picks in their, 37-33, win over No. 6 Michigan. It was Walker who shined that day with 197 rushing yards on 8.6 yards per carry. Thorne also threw for 158 yards in a 56-7 loss to Ohio State and threw an interception in Michigan State's 40-27 loss to Purdue. Their pass defense is last in FBS, surrendering 337.7 yards per game. Pittsburgh won the ACC and is on a 9-3 spread run (6-1 ATS against winning teams). Pitt will be without QB Kenny Pickett, who will enter the draft, but junior QB Nick Patti has been here three seasons and has thrown for 458 yards, three TDs, and one interception. And he's surrounded by immense offensive talent in WR Jordan Addison (1,479 yards), winner of the 2021 Biletnikoff Award with a national-best 17 TD catches. Also, three Pitt running backs have topped 483 yards in Vincent Davis, Israel Abanikanda, and Rodney Hammond. Pitt is 12-4 ATS on the road after allowing 100 or fewer rushing yards in the last game and 21-11 ATS away from home after the first month of the season. Play Pittsburgh.
