Iowa is off a state rivalry game with Iowa State, a big win after losing three of the last four to the Cyclones. The last four years Iowa has been great at covering spreads on the road, but has struggled at home. They face a Pitt (2-0) squad that is playing very well for new coach Pat Narduzzi. The Panthers are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine road games. Narduzzi, known for his excellent defenses while serving as coordinator at Michigan State, has his current squad ranked among the top 25 nationally in sacks (4.5 per game), total defense (258.5 yards), rush defense (88) and third-down efficiency (18.5 percent conversion rate). And on offense he has Iowa guessing who will be at quarterback. Narduzzi replaced Chad Voytik at quarterback with Nate Peterman (a transfer from Tennessee) in last week’s 24-7 win over Akron and has not said who will start this week. In addition, Pitt freshman RB Qadree Ollison has run for 288 yards and 7.8 yards per carry, while WR Tyler Boyd torched the Hawkeyes last season with 10 catches for 153 yards. Play Pittsburgh.
