Kudos to Joe Paterno as he notched win #400 last week. It is a good thing he got it last week, because Penn State is not winning here. For that matter, neither is anyone else. The Buckeyes have established themselves as a top 10 program every year, creating quite the home-field advantage to go along with it. Ohio State has won 12 straight here and this year they are winning by 36 points per game at home. In four of those wins, the opponent never scored. The Nittanys have a decent team, but the defense is down from the past couple years as they have allowed 21+ to all of the BCS Conference teams they’ve played, and the offense is way down. On the road this season they are just 1-2, losing on average by 10 points per game! The Buckeyes are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 at home, while Penn State has not made good as a road dog of +10.5 or more as they are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10. Under JoePa, this team is just 10-19 ATS as a road dog. Paterno is also just 5-22 ATS vs. great defensive teams (those allowing under 4.3 yards per play. Ohio State wins big.
