Some have believed for years that if this Oregon State team could ever get off to a good start they'd make some noise. Well, here they come. Notoriously slow starters in the past, the Beavers have started 2012 with a bang at 2-0. They have impressive dog wins vs. a then-ranked Wisconsin team and then beating a ranked UCLA on the road. They now head for the desert to take on another good team in the Arizona Wildcats. The Beavers have held their two ranked opponents to a total of 27 points so they can have some defensive success here. Arizona piled it on in two straight weeks, scoring over 50 points in each. Last week met their match however they were shutout by an Oregon team that has an average defense. That doesn't bode well for them here as they take on what will be the best defense they have seen all season - and they showed they can’t be stopped. The Beavers are hard to stop once they get on a roll and are 53-26-2 ATS following an ATS win in their last 81 games. They have also gotten it done on the road at 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23. The Wildcats are just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 after a loss, and Oregon State has covered five straight here. Under Mike Riley, OSU is 24-11 ATS in expected close games (line of +3 to -3). Despite all of his succes, Rich Rodriguez is just 7-19 ATS in his coaching career when coming off a loss to a conference rival. Play on Oregon State plus the points (buy to +3 if you can or play at 2.5 if you can't).
