ALAMO BOWL - Oregon is on a 5-12 spread run, and the Ducks will be without star DE Kayvon Thibodeaux, starting cornerback Mykael Wright, and WR Devon Williams (557 yards), who are all opting to sit out. The other starting cornerback, DJ James, entered the transfer portal, along with backup DT Jayson Jones. That defense will be the concern in this bowl game as they've allowed 29.2 points over the last seven games. That includes a pair of bad losses when they stepped up to face Utah twice, losing 38-7 and 38-10. And that doesn't include an early-season loss to Stanford, 31-24, as an eight-point favorite. Oregon is 6-14-1 ATS and 8-3 UNDER the total in non-conference tilts. Oklahoma has a quick-strike offense behind freshman QB Caleb Williams (18 TDs, four INTs) and RB Kennedy Brooks (1,111 yards, 6.0 yards per carry), while the defense is #23 at stopping the run, which is what Oregon likes to do.
