The oddsmakers have set the bar high on the total in this game, and this total sets a record for the highest all-time total in an NCAA Football game. There have been in fact just two previous totals of over 85 points, and both of those finished UNDER. These offenses certainly have the ability to get there, but there is such little margin for error in games like this, as one 5-7 minute drought really turns the total into close to being out of reach. Basically this is saying that a TD will be scored in this game every four and a half minutes to get this over the top. While it can be done, there is more margin for error on the low side. Oregon has reached this total in just one game so far, and Cal three times, but all incidents were close - less than one score to the OVER. Dykes is 12-4 to the UNDER since coming to Cal when facing an opponent scoring better than 34 points per game. I don't see this one getting there, so make the play on the UNDER.
