Old Dominion at Middle Tennessee State

Middle Tennessee lost a heartbreaker in triple overtime last week to Western Kentucky, but the Blue Raiders have had an extra day to prepare for this matchup with plenty of motivation as Bowl game eligibility is on the line. MTSU has a big edge defensively as it is ranked #31 in the country in yards allowed (353.4 per game) compared to #80 Old Dominion (413.3 ppg). Also, the Blue Raiders have accumulated at least 400 total yards of offense each of their last three games and Old Dominion gives up 30.8 points per game. The Monarchs have won three in a row, however, that followed a six-game losing streak in which they allowed an average of 44 points.  MTSU quarterback Brent Stockstill completed 58.7 percent of his passes for 294 yards and a touchdown against Western Kentucky and Tavares Thomas ran for 92 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns. The Monarchs are 0-4 ATS against teams with losing records and 7-15-1 ATS their last 23 games following an ATS loss.  The Blue Raiders have covered the spread five of their last six games after a loss.
