The oddsmakers are saying that Ohio State can name their score in this one. Can they? They obviously need to avoid a let down following the big Miami game. Jim Tressel is a smart coach. He will remind his team about is how little old Ohio University came into the Shoe two years ago as a 34 point underdog and had the Buckeyes hanging on for dear life in a close win. In their last 10 out-of-conference games vs. non-BCS conference teams, the Buckeyes have held the opponet to under 10 ppg. Last week, Ohio University scored just 13 points vs. Toledo - a team that is far from a defensive power. In fact, the Rockets are one of the poorest defensive teams in the country. The Buckeyes have an offense this year, while the defense remains strong. Outside of the aforementioned hiccup vs. Ohio, the last three MAC opponets have been outscored by the Buckeyes 106-5! Ohio State knows that style points matter in the polls as they chase down #1 Alabama, and they won't let off the throttle here. The Buckeyes have averaged 472 yards of offense and 40.5 points per game vs. better competition than they will face here. They should have no trouble getting to 500+ yards and 28+ points. The good news for us there is that Ohio State is 32-6 ATS in their last 38 games when racking up 500+ yards and 8-1 ATS the past two years when scoring 28 or more. I like Ohio State in a blowout.
