Michigan had an easy tune up last week, beating in-state rival Central Michigan in blowout fashion 59-9. Notre Dame did everything right a year ago, until they met Alabama and the dream season ended in ugly fashion. Gone are the catalysts on both sides of the ball for the Irish as QB Golson and LB Manti Te'o have moved on. Tommy Rees has experience, but there is a reason he wasn't at QB last season: his career 24 interceptions. Denard Robinson was good, but somehow didn't seem to make this Wolverines team tick. Devin Gardner seems to be a better fit in the pro set. He has experience and some weapons on offense, and I think Michigan doesn't slip on offense. Freshman RB Derrick Green is poised for a big year. The defense should be every bit as good as it was a year ago, and I just think they are a better team that will make less mistakes. They should also be able to take advantage of their home field in this one. The Fighting Irish have only come away with the money in one of their last five trips here. Brady Hoke has found ways to get his teams focused early as his teams are 19-8 ATS at home in the first half of the season including 13-4 in the first month of the season. Lay the points on Michigan here.
