Northwestern at Stanford

Stanford has been a steady force in the Pac-12 under Dave Shaw. They have always lined up a huge front line and ran over opponents. Last year the running game came to a halt, and Shaw inserted K.J. Costello at QB, and he won the last four games, mostly through the air. The Cardinal will have a lot more experience on the offensive line, and I think they are going to try and establish the fact they can run the ball early and allow Costello to win games when needed. Northwestern has become consistent in recent years, and while the offensive depth may not be there, the defense is going to be very strong. The Wildcats will go as far as the defense can take them.
