The Wildcats head to Lincoln for the first time to face the Cornhuskers. Nebraska has lost just once on the season - at Wisconsin. Nebraska is 5-0 at home and showed just how strong they can be on this field by obliterating Michigan State 24-3 to move into a three-way tie for the Legends Division lead. The Spartans could only manage 187 yards of offense in the game as the Cornhuskers clamped down. Northwestern gave up 38 points to a weak Indiana team in their previous game. They have ridden the arm of QB Dan Persa who has completed 75.7% of his passes on the season, but will have a lot of problems here as Nebraska has held their last three opponents to just 26-for-63 in the passing game. That doesn't bode well on the road for a pass-dependent Wildcats’ offense. The Cornhuskers have gone 31-12 ATS in their last 43 games vs. good passing offensies (62%+ completion teams). They are also 15-4 ATS in their last 19 home games vs. teams that average 8+ passing yards per attempt. Nebraska also has one of the nation’s top running offenses - the Achilles heel of Northwestern’s defense. There are a lots of mismatches here on both sides of the ball, so take Nebraska in this one.
