Northwestern State at Tulsa

Northwestern State's season was cut short in 2023 due to the tragic death of safety Ronnie Caldwell. The Demons finished 0-6 while allowing 35.5 points per game. Quaterius Hawkins is a senior quarterback who appeared in four games last season and threw for 488 yards and rushed for 101 yards on 26 attempts. The Demon defense was a disaster allowing 35.3 points and 195.8 rushing yards per game. The Demons are still rebuilding and it will take some time to recover from the heartbreaking 2023 season. Tulsa surrendered 34 points and return just five on defense and eight on offense, which was a disappointment scoring 23 points per game. The Golden Hurricane hired Steve Spurrier Jr. as an assistant coach and Corey Dennin the new QB coach to help remedy the situation. The best news is running back Anthony Watkins returns as he led the team in rushing with 889 yards. Northwestern State went OVER four of their final five games. Take the OVER.
