Northern Illinois at Kent State

Northern Illinois has been very dominating in the MAC Conference over the past several seasons. This year, however, they truly amidst a rebuilding year. Add in injuries at QB that have sent this team back they enter their finale at 4-7 with no hopes for the postseason. Northern Illinois is down to their fourth string QB, and they will be taking on a Kent Sate defense that is pretty decent at -0.3 yards per play better than the average offenses they have seen this season. They will be able to load the box and dare the Huskies to throw it, but they are going to be a lot more one-dimensional now. Kent State's problem is offense, one that has averaged a woeful 15.8 points per game in their last five. Since Coach Carey has taken over the Northern Illinois team, they are 22-12 to the UNDER in 34 conference games, and Coach Haynes Kent State teams have been 20-10 to the UNDER in his 30 conference games.
